PLEASE VOTE IN THIS UT2K4 POLL

Now that arpharazon has managed to lift himself high up in
the clanbase important peoples ladder i think we have the
perfect oppertunity to try and make a difference in the instagib
world.
now this is just an idea but i would like some feedback on it......
i suggest a NEW LADDER, a "2v2 ictf LameNess ladder"
consisting of maps such as:
Andaction
2on2spacelego
impasse
toxin
stadium
checkmate CWL
bloxeh
Gardenofheaven
Lameassbox
weewoo
etc etc etc

i think a ladder like this would be a big hit.....wot do u all think?

i voted yes, BUT you want this to be a cb ladder?
The ppl will vote no then, why?
1) There is a difference between laming and admit to lame
2) Alot of ppl will get pissed off at each other, even worse for the community

If it's a GoC ladder only, then go for it

i just think these r the lamest maps in ut2k4 so y not
put them all in one 2v2 ladder and see who can kick the
most ass......the maps r spose to be the LAME in this ladder
not the players....how the players play is down to them

Meh if you put it on clanbase ill vote for it just to give this game a bit more life. Looking at the maps though its not ctf more like DM with flags thrown in for after thought. No startagy to it and since fragging aint my strong point blehhhh

2v2 ictf on maps like andaction , why not just do 2v2 idm OR if you really want a 2v2 ictf pick 1 map only   eg. ctf_tutorial
for what ive seen 1 map can be alot more fun than a select . tutorial is a map designed for 2v2 ictf and it also has histoy from ut99 which had a 2v2 tut ladder

let me make this a little bit clearer......
the idea is that if the feedback is good then i would like this ladder idea to be suggested to clanbase.
now i know that even if 40 clans signed up to this ladder it wouldnt really be that active, a 2v2 ictf ladder
when nearly all clans have 7 + members is really a bit pointless....but lets say for example that in GoC we
have 6 members who wanna play but only 2 can play at a time...wot u do is create some mini spin off clans
on clanbase, ie: GoC (2v2 team1), GoC (2v2 team2), GoC (2v2 team3) etc etc etc, now doing that straight away
u have 3 "different" clans in the ladder already......now if each clan who entered had atleast 2 spin off clans in the
ladder then this would become one of the most active ladders on clanbase......

cmon guys lets put the fun back into ictf

THat idea is actually quite nice ... altho i never like those kinda maps. Maybe coz they re usually loaded with players on pubs ... could b fun to play em 2on2 in a ladder. It gets my YES.

First of all I think u shudnt name it lameness ladder as people will get the wrong idea

Second of all I think this ladder wont happen as ya can basically add those maps to the maplist for the normal 2v2 ictf ladder as well and get the same result basically, just that theres a couple of 'normal' maps in the list as well.

Pingu's got a point imo saying picking one map loads of people like (or maybe 2 similar maps) wud prolly work better (look at 2v2 w00tabulous and 2v2 tutorial ladders in ut99, theyre very popular).

I still vote yes, as its always a good idea to keep the community alive by adding more ladders/cups.
(ever thought of making it a cup btw BIGBOY? - maybe people tend to sign up for that sooner and if its a success it cud evolve into a ladder?)

why clanbase . why dont we run it ! . could alow a bit more flexability and mean games could be arranged and played at a drop of a hat . also we could suport a server or 2 alowing a great number of ppl play . we could create a sub domain .im sure farthorizon could rustle up a site in an afternoon .

we used to run a small tourney in GoC on an odd weekend I think, ares had a tourneyscript running.
might wanna ask him if he still got it and if it can be used for this as well.

kE from ut99 squad also has experience in scipting sites for tourneys/ladders.
